From the Londorossi Park Gate located on the western side of Kilimanjaro where we pick up our game ranger who will accompany us, as we might encounter elephants and buffaloes during our trek. We drive to the trailhead at Lemosho Glades and start our trek through the rain forest. In places, the vegetation is so untouched that it grows right across the narrow track. The flora and fauna are richer here than on the other more popular routes through the rain forest. Our trek today will be along a little used track known as Chamber's Route. In about 3-4 hours, we reach our camp in the rain forest at Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree).

we start the climb cross the remaining rain forest towards the giant moorland zone. Today is a full day trek with an altitude gain of 2,000 ft. A great lunch stop is One, a beautiful valley just outside the Shira Crater at around 10,000 ft. After lunch, we cross into the Shira Caldera, a high altitude desert plateau that is rarely visited. Shira is the third of Kilimanjaro volcanic cones, and is filled with lava flow from Kibo Peak. The crater rim has been decimated by weather and volcanic action. Today you will get your first close views of Kibo - the dramatic summit of Kilimanjaro.

Kazimikazi fishing village, situated on the southern part of the island, is a site of a 12th century mosque. The mosque is the earliest remaining evidence of the Islamic religion in East Africa. The village also offers several schools of bottle-nosed dolphins and Humpback dolphins.
The dolphins can be spotted on a short boat trip. If you are lucky, you can even have a very special experience of the dolphins swimming so close that you could almost touch them. You can also feel the brilliant sensation of swimming with the dolphins, but please don't expect to touch them, since they are very shy. The village not only offers immense natural reasons for visitation, but also historical and cultural.

Uhuru Peak - Mt Kilimanjaro
Tucked away in Tanzania, East Africa, there's a truly amazing spot that calls out to all the daring souls out there – Uhuru Peak on Mt Kilimanjaro. Towering high at 19,341 feet above sea level, it proudly claims the title of Africa's highest point, with a beauty that's simply enchanting.
Your journey to Uhuru Peak unfolds like a magical tapestry of landscapes. Starting low, you'll wander through vibrant rainforests, alive with bird songs and playful Colobus monkeys. Moving higher, you'll cross over into an otherworldly alpine desert, where strange rock formations and ancient lava shapes paint a surreal picture that's both spooky and captivating.
Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro isn't just about breathtaking views – it's your chance to catch glimpses of wildlife in their natural habitat. Keep your eyes peeled for elephants, leopards, and buffalos as you trek through the forests. These encounters serve as a beautiful reminder of our deep connection to nature, a bond often overlooked in our busy lives.
Pressing on towards Uhuru Peak, you'll enter a world of profound silence, broken only by your footsteps and heartbeat. The air thins, the cold nips at you, and the vastness of it all can feel a bit overwhelming. Yet with each step upward, you edge closer to the lofty summit where sky and earth, physical and spiritual, blend into one.
Standing atop Uhuru Peak is a memory that'll stick with you forever. From the peak, as you gaze over rugged landscapes stretching endlessly, a sense of pride and accomplishment washes over you. It's a view of nature's raw beauty at its most unfiltered, a sight reserved for the lucky few who venture here.
For the best experience, plan your visit during the dry season, usually from July to October. The weather is mild, the skies clear, and the trekking conditions are at their best. Just remember, Kilimanjaro can be challenging and unpredictable, so proper preparation and acclimatization are keys to a successful summit attempt.
In essence, the allure of Uhuru Peak and Mt Kilimanjaro goes beyond words. It's a place of pure beauty where nature's might shines brightest, and where climbers are tested in body, mind, and spirit. So if you seek an adventure that pushes your limits and leaves you in awe, look no further than the grand heights of Uhuru Peak – a place where incredible stories are made.

The soul-stirring rhythm of the African wilderness beckons to those who yearn to immerse themselves in the raw splendor of the natural world. In Tanzania, Tarangire National Park stands as a testament to the untamed magnificence of the African savannahs, offering an unforgettable experience like no other.
Just a short drive from the vibrant city of Arusha, Tarangire National Park lures travelers with promises of rugged landscapes and encounters with some of Earth's most majestic creatures. As you traverse the park, dusty trails wind through a patchwork of habitats, from sun-kissed savannah plains to verdant wetlands teaming with life.
A highlight of the park is the majestic Tarangire River, a lifeline that supports a rich diversity of wildlife year-round. During the dry season, this river becomes a crucial oasis, drawing in immense herds of elephants, wildebeests, zebras, and buffalo. Witnessing these gentle giants congregating along the riverbanks is a humbling spectacle, showcasing the resilience and delicate balance of life in the untamed.
Tarangire is also famed for its vibrant bird population, with over 500 species recorded within its borders. From the colorful lilac-breasted rollers to the regal African fish eagles, the skies are alive with the symphonies and hues of these feathered residents. Bird enthusiasts will find themselves entranced as they spot rare and endemic species flitting through the acacia trees.
For those yearning to deepen their bond with nature, Tarangire offers a variety of activities to truly connect with the wild. Guided walking safaris provide an opportunity to explore the intricate wonders of the bush, from tiny insects to the subtle traces left by passing wildlife. The rustle of the wind in the grass and the earthy aroma of the soil beneath your feet create a sensory journey to a primordial world untouched by time.
As the sun sets towards the horizon, embarking on a sunset game drive becomes a must-do in Tarangire. The gentle golden light bathes the land in a warm glow, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange, and creating long shadows. This magical time of day offers prime chances to witness predators in action, with lions and leopards rousing from their daytime slumber to start their nocturnal quests.
The ideal time to visit Tarangire National Park is during the dry season from June to October, when wildlife congregates around the Tarangire River in search of water. From the serene giants of the savannah to the lively birdlife filling the air with melodies, every moment spent in this wilderness is a testament to the interconnectedness of all living creatures.
